2-Year Limited Warranty

This 2-Year Limited Warranty applies to custom marine upholstery, canvas work, repairs, and related services performed by us.

Warranty Coverage

Subject to the limitations below, we warrant that our workmanship and the materials we supply will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date of final payment and pickup/delivery of the completed work.

During this period, we will, at our option, repair or replace defective workmanship or materials at no charge to you, provided the item is returned to our shop for inspection and service within the 2-year period. We restore wake boats, bow riders, and pontoons.

Important Claim Deadline and Warranty Procedure

All warranty claims must be submitted and the boat, seats, canvas, or affected item(s) must be physically returned to our shop within two (2) years (730 days) from the date of final payment and pickup/delivery.

Notification by phone, email, or any other means does not extend the warranty. Even if you contact us about an issue within the warranty period, failure to return the item for inspection and repair within the 730-day period will result in the warranty expiring with no coverage provided.

The warranty period is not extended for any reason, including scheduling difficulties, personal circumstances, life events, storage issues, or delayed discovery of a problem. It is the customer’s sole responsibility to make arrangements to return the item within the coverage period.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear, fading, mildew, or deterioration due to environmental exposure (rain, UV rays, saltwater, weather).
  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, accident, abuse, or modifications by anyone other than us.
  • Issues arising from the boat’s structure, hardware, zippers, fasteners, or other components.
  • Structural issues with wood, frames, or boat components beyond two years. We have no control over how the boat is stored, maintained, cleaned, or used after completion. Proper care and storage are the customer’s responsibility.
  • Damage from harsh chemicals, improper cleaning, or failure to follow our care instructions.
  • Color variations or exact matching to original materials (marine fabrics can vary by dye lot).
  • Any consequential or incidental damages (e.g., loss of use, transportation costs, or secondary damage).

Why We Limit Structural Warranties on Wood Components

Marine plywood is a high-quality material designed for wet environments, but it is not completely waterproof. Understanding how water interacts with it — especially through repeated wet-freeze-thaw-dry cycles — helps explain why proper care and storage are essential.

How Water Affects Marine Plywood Over Time

  • Water Absorption: Moisture enters through edges, cuts, screw holes, or any unsealed surfaces. The wood fibers swell.
  • Freezing: When temperatures drop, trapped water turns to ice and expands by approximately 9%. This puts strong pressure on the glue lines and veneers.
  • Thawing & Drying: As ice melts and the wood dries, it shrinks — but the damage remains. Micro-cracks form and layers begin to separate (delamination).
  • Repeated Cycles (Over 5+ Years): Dozens of freeze-thaw cycles each winter compound the problem, leading to delamination, warping, reduced strength, surface cracking, and increased risk of rot.

High-quality marine plywood will degrade under prolonged exposure to these conditions if it is not properly stored.

This policy protects both you and us by encouraging proper ongoing maintenance. Surface upholstery and canvas workmanship remain fully covered under our standard 2-year limited warranty.
